At Tabernacle Baptist Church, people matter, and everyone is welcome here. Whether you’re married, single, single-again, a parent or a young adult – no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done – you’re invited to experience community, get support, receive prayer as well as make friends, as we do life together. Here you’ll find a church family willing to walk alongside you in whatever life circumstance you find yourself in. We are all imperfect people searching for fulfillment and finding answers in the lessons Jesus taught the world. And we welcome you here!

* All workers that minister to preschoolers, children and youth have had Safe Place Training and are background checked for your children’s safety.

Nursery Ministry *

The Nursery ministry plays a crucial role in our church as it allows families to focus on worship and fellowship with the assurance that their little ones receive the proper care and attention they need and deserve. Our nursery workers are Safe Place trained and background checked so that you can have confidence your children are in capable hands and are being well cared for. In response to the Covid-19 Maryland State Public Health guidelines, we have temporarily suspended Nursery Care.

Children’s Ministry *

Our children’s ministry consists of two main programs for Children’s Church & Kid’s Night. Our programs seek to teach our children biblical principles while allowing them opportunities to build friendships, play games, enjoy music and beyond! All of our children’s program workers attend official safety training classes so you can relax knowing your children will be well taken care of in a safe environment. Due to Maryland State Department of Health’s COVID-19 restrictions our program is currently being reevaluated. We currently do not offer Children’s Church on Sundays or Wednesday evening activities.

Youth Ministry

Our Youth ministry is for students in grade 6-12 and is a great, action-packed night of videos, games, food, and Bible study. We are all about showing teenagers how they can have a real relationship with God in our tough world. TBC’s youth ministry has annual mission trips, monthly events, and is a growing group!

  • We meet Wednesdays at 6:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall.
  • We meet Sundays at 9:45 AM in the Education Building.

Young Adults Ministry *

Our Young Adult ministry is for unmarried individuals from ages 18 to 30. We meet on Sundays at 9:45am in a D-Group. As our young adults are transitioning from youth into the world where they will be making life decisions, we believe we can be a safe place for them to express themselves and be provided a Biblical approach to navigating these changes. We provide a casual atmosphere for young adults to fellowship, develop friendships and study the Bible together.

Men’s Ministry

The men’s ministry at TBC is all about getting guys together to build stronger friendships together and a stronger relationship with our Lord. We go fishing, have bonfires, camping trips and beyond to impact men for Jesus Christ.

Women’s Ministry

God has a purpose for our lives and desires to use ordinary women in extraordinary ways. He tells His story so we can enter into a relationship with Him, hear Him speak, and fulfill our roles in that story with passion so we can be transformed and fulfill our purpose in God’s story. Our women’s ministry is about caring for each other, praying for each other and just being there when needed.

MES Food Program

MES (Middlesex Elementary School) Food Program started in December of 2017 as a means to deliver food to students throughout the school year whose families were struggling to make ends meet.
In addition to providing nutrition to support the children through the weekend, we also provided holiday meals at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter for the whole family. We are so blessed to participate in a ministry that so directly affects the well-being of our community’s children.

Mustard Seeds Senior Ministry

Our Mustard Seeds group welcomes men and women ages 50 and over. We meet the 3rd Saturday of each month at 11am for a potluck lunch and a time of fellowship as we plan upcoming activities and community outreach. We believe that senior Christians, with decades of wisdom and experience, are a unique treasure and resource to the body of Christ. Our goal is to utilize our gifts and talents in serving others and, in so doing, our Savior, Jesus Christ.

seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.
